Asst. prof. Gergana Radoykova, PhD has a master degree in International relations and a PhD degree in European Studies. She is an Assistant professor in the Political Science Department of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. She is member of the Executive Council of the Bulgarian European Studies Association. Her academic interests focus on the functioning of the institutions of the European Union, citizens’ involvement in the decision-making process, the different mechanisms for civic participation in setting the political agenda. Ms. Radoykova analyzes in detail accountability as a key factor for good governance on national and European level. She has published a book, called “Accountability of the institutions of the EU” in 2016.
