Dr. Dorjana Klosi is currently a lecturer of Applied Linguistics and Introduction to Linguistics at the Department of Foreign Languages, University of “Ismail Qemali”, Vlore, Albania. Her primary areas of academic teaching and research explores Applied Linguistics, Sociolinguistics, Communication Studies, teaching and/or learning methodology of first/second or foreign language, gender issues, dialectology and cultural studies.
Since the academic year 2003-2004 Mrs. Klosi is a faculty staff of University of “Ismail Qemali”. Her professional experience includes working with e number of courses, such as: Applied Linguistics, Introduction to Linguistics, Phonetics, Communication and Gender studies.
Mrs. Klosi, in 2014, earned a Phd in Sociolinguistics at the Department of Humanities, Albanian language-literature branch, University of Tirana.
In 2007 she finalized her Master’s degree in the field of Linguistics, Communication studies.
Doriana Klosi got graduated as “ Teacher and translator/ interpreter of English Language” at the Department of Foreign Languages, English Branch, University “Ismail Qemali” Vlorë, 2003.
She regularly publishes articles as author and co-author and participates in international conferences, seminar and trainings regarding Education, Linguistics, and English language. Few to mention are: The General Conference on Linguistics, in Zaragoza, Spain, multidisciplinary conference held in Rome, Italy, other conferences held in Romania, Macedonia, Kosovo and several conferences and scientific meeting organized by Higher Albanian Institutions, such as QSA, Universities of Vlora, Tirana, Korça, Shkodra, and University of Durrës.
